Track & Field – Sprints And Jumps Circuit (USA, Middle School, 11-14 Years)
The following resource, designed for Middle School students (aged 11-14) in the USA, has been carefully aligned with NASPE National Standards, and addresses: Running, jumping, analyzing and correcting movement errors Participation in physical activity, conditioning application Self-responsibility, accepting challenges In this lesson pupils will move through a Sprints and Jumps Circuit where they participate at 5 stations to practice track and field skills at their own pace and at their own level. SPARK Middle School Physical Education (PE) Project M-SPAN (Middle School Physical Activity and Nutrition) was supported by the Heart, Lung and Blood Institute from 1996-2000 and was the first scientific effort to study and evaluate this target population in physical education, physical activity, and nutrition.
