Understanding sport and physical activity as a therapy choice for young disabled people

The English Federation of Disability Sport is delighted to have released this report in partnership with the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP), Cerebral Palsy Sport and WheelPower.

During recent insight work on disabled people’s lifestyles, it found that for those who receive physiotherapy, the therapists can really influence how disabled people think about sport or exercise as well as how active they become.

This report gives greater insight in to the other side of those relationships, in particular when working with young disabled children. EFDS hopes that everyone can use the findings within this report, make the necessary improvements and build on the insight we are sharing.
