This worksheet aims to promote independent learning and encourage student discovery and independence. The task card can be used as a student led task, allowing the teacher to support and extend pupil learning. Students can create their own balances and rate them in terms of difficulty.
The task card structures student tasks into four steps:
- Perform and practise each counter balance illustrated on the card.
- Design your own counter balance with your partner and rate them in terms of difficulty.
- Link balances together using rolls, jumps, turns and different types of travel.
- Refine your sequence adding a starting and finishing position and then try and attain the Bronze, Silver and Gold assessment criteria.
