This course will help you better understand and get ready for an Ofsted Deep Dive under the Education Inspection Framework (EIF) that came into force in 2019.
It is suitable for primary, secondary and special school PE leaders.
Whilst it is geared towards getting you ready for inspection, by sharing pertinent materials and highlighting aspects of Ofsted’s published resources/ inspection handbooks that need to be understood, this course also shares the stories (including video interviews) from PE leaders who have experienced a PE deep dive and helps you consider your strengths and areas for development as a subject lead.
It will support you to ‘train hard and race easy’ in terms of preparing for your actual inspection but it will also help you consider ways to improve your curriculum offer irrespective of the prying eyes of Ofsted inspectors.
You can complete the 7 lessons in bite-sized chunks or all in one go with anytime anywhere access via our website. You will be able to see the ideas and contributions of other participants via discussion threads along the way. You will also be invited to join the next live 60 minute Zoom meeting that will bring together others who have recently completed the online materials to collaborate, reflect on learning and ask questions of the course instructor. Our intention is to run one of these each term. We will share the next available date and time with you once booked on the course.
Each lesson is fully asynchronous, meaning you can log on whenever you want to complete the content. On completion you will be awarded a certificate for your professional development records.
