Dr Vicky Randall is a teacher educator, researcher and consultant in physical education. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).

Vicky started her career in primary physical education teacher education at the University of Roehampton in 2009 and more recently held the post of Senior Fellow at the University of Winchester, where she was subject lead for Physical Education, Co-Faculty Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange,  C0-lead in Education for the REF 2021 submission and Convenor for the Centre for Professional Learning in Education. Prior to working in higher education, Vicky was a physical education teacher, Head of Department and Regional Subject Adviser for physical education in South London (AfPE/CfBT).

Outside of teaching she became a proficient netball coach having coached Middlesex County U14/U16, London Regional U14/U16 Development Squad, Brunel Hurricanes Youth Squad and England Netball Talent 1 and Talent 2 pathway.

She has worked across a number of national and European professional networks to promote and develop primary physical education teacher education, including the Department for Education formed Physical Education Expert Subject Advisory Group (ESAG), the European Primary Physical Education Network and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit and Healthy Childhood. She is convenor of the Primary Physical Education Teacher Education Network (PETEN), Co-founder of the Primary Physical Education Assembly (PPEA) (Dr Gerald Griggs) and Programme Manager for the children’s mental health charity – stormbreak. Vicky has written extensively in the field of primary physical education and is co-editor (with Dr Gerald Griggs) of the international selling text ‘An Introduction to Primary Physical Education’.
