Vicky is an experienced physical education teacher, teacher educator and academic, having worked across both primary and secondary settings over the past 20 years. She holds Fellowships at the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), and is a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Gloucestershire. Her research and practice focuses on teacher knowledge, teacher education in primary physical education and young people’s mental health and wellbeing. Vicky has written extensively in the field of physical education and teacher professional learning. She is co-editor and author of the international textbooks An Introduction to Primary Physical Education and Contemporary Issues in Primary Physical Education, and is Associate Editor for the international journal Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy.
