Course Overview

Inclusion has always been a priority for high-quality Physical Education and the latest Ofsted inspection framework changes along with the recent schools white paper ‘Every Child Achieving and Thriving‘ which was published on 23rd February 2026 have resulted in SEND and wider inclusion becoming one of the hottest topics of 2026. Meanwhile, inclusive and adaptive practice is one of our most powerful tools to better cater for the diverse needs of all and hence provides a part of the solution to improved inclusion.

This inclusive and adaptive practice bitesize course is free for PE Scholar members. Its solution-focused approach bridges the gap between policy and the playground, offering practical strategies and resources to help you best cater for the needs of all without adding to your workload. It also summarises important changes in legislation for England that will be of interest to practitioners worldwide and signposts to valuable additional blogs and resources that could help you dig a little deeper. It should take no more than a couple of hours to complete (with additional signposting for further study) and is separated into 5 short chapters as follows:

  • Introduction
  • Insight
  • Research
  • Practice
  • Summary and Feedback
