This game card series is intended to support teachers and student led activities with a simple one page summary of suitable setup and rules for some of the games that can be very effectively implemented in schools. Care is needed when selecting which games best meet your intended outcomes and which cohorts of children will engage best with different types of game.

We know that dodgeball is a popular game in schools and have experience of implementing and seeing it implemented successfully but you need to think carefully about your particular groups to assess whether it is appropriate or not. There can be significant challenges with regard to purpose, inclusion, social justice and activity levels BUT if you are confident you can get those right in your setting and respond to the needs of your students then we hope this game card is helpful.
Military Dodgeball is a tactical, team-based version of dodgeball that emphasises teamwork, planning, and strategy.
The aim is to eliminate the opposing team’s General. Once the General is struck below the shoulders, the game ends and the other team wins.
Players are sure to enjoy team roles, which include a Bodyguard, Medic, Spy and Sniper.
