Free CPD for Practitioners – INCLUSION 2024 LIVE

29th January – 2nd February 2024

What is Inclusion 2024 Live?

Inclusion 2024 Live is an interactive online week of free to access, virtual Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Inclusion webinars provided by the Youth Sport Trust.

Children’s charity the Youth Sport Trust (YST) is leading a consortium of organisations commissioned by the Department for Education to increase opportunities for disabled young people to enjoy PE, school sport and physical activity.

The week provides the opportunity for teachers, school staff, community providers and sports organisations to listen to and learn from experienced practitioners and young people.

Why attend Inclusion 2024 Live?

With 389,171 young people having an Education Health Care Plan and 1,183,384 receiving SEN support in our schools, there has never been a more important time to show the positive impact being active has for SEND young people.

Here’s what YST’s Development Manager for Inclusion, Chris Smith, has to say:

“We know that a positive experience in PE and school sport is essential to shape every child’s life-long participation. It can alter how we feel about being active for the rest of our lives. Data suggests not all young disabled people are fully included in PE. Inclusion 2024 Live week is a fantastic opportunity to learn something new and feel more confident in your knowledge about supporting young people with SEND to access PE, school sport and physical activity.”

What sessions are available?

There is a free session each day, conveniently timed for lunchtimes or the end of school.

Once you sign up, you’ll also be able to access digital SEND inclusion in PE and school sport content.
