Physical Literacy Continuum Poster Presentation – Physical Literacy International Conference 2013

This poster illustrates Physical Literacy (PL) as a life course continuum, exploring the need and focus during each life course phase from which a curriculum framework can be devised. Recognising physical literacy continuum is essential in creating a framework that is appropriate, effective and efficient in easing transitions and optimising and sustaining PL levels throughout the life course. A holistic approach to PL will encourage all to become physically literate individuals throughout their life course.

This poster is designed to stimulate the discussion of the introduction of PL as a continuum across the life course and investigate the focus and content for each phase. It is by no means a completed framework but it is hoped that this may initiate or develop discussions moving towards the creation of a a PL framework continuum that  is appropriate, effective and efficient in easing transitions and optimising and sustaining PL levels throughout the life course.
