Promoting Purposeful Physical Play in the Early Years through Physical Literacy [Paperback]

This resource has been designed to enable settings to undertake a self-directed learning approach to ensure that all practitioners in their setting understand what is entailed in developing a coherent programme for Purposeful Physical Play that supports the EYFS Physical Development Prime Area.

It is an attempt to provide all settings and all their practitioners throughout the country with a practical guide to Physical Literacy and Purposeful Physical Play in the Early Years. This has been developed in response to a number of major problems that have had a major impact on settings’ ability to provide all children with a comprehensive entitlement to purposeful physical play.
