A sample lesson includes the Move task from Lesson 1 of the Mind & Movement resource, exploring the movement skill of drawing and gives a task for developing a solo phrase into a duet. It can be used with students from Key Stage 2 and upwards.
These are the gifted and talented dancers from Oasis Academy John Williams (South Bristol) in a dynamic yet challenging concept video. The dances were choreographed in three hour sessions and filmed within six hours as part of our yearly ‘Sports Week’. The film was choreographed and directed by Charlie Bedford and filmed and edited by Dan Mullender. Victoria Boomer, Principal of the school, hopes you all enjoy the video. The aim of this 30-minute session is to create and perform a Christmas Themed Dance using movements that travel, turn, jump, balance and use different levels. The objective is for students to perform basic movements to music to tell a Christmas story.
